Homage to E. Pauline Johnson is a series of collographs with E. Pauline Johnson’s famous poem The Song My Paddle Sings printed using handset metal type on handmade Japanese Paper (Kizuke Kozo) that resembles hand writing on birch bark.  Exhibited in the juried show O.W.N. – Object, Work, Notation curated by Richard Sewell at  Open Studio, Toronto (February 20 – March 30, 2014) this work celebrates this 19th Century poet’s famous poem that has been immortalized in the well known folk songs: Land of the Silver Birch and My Paddle’s Keen and Bright.
